dessert

my roommate, eric, was gone this weekend.  i found myself doing what i love to do with an empty kitchen...make nachos.  but also, creme brulee, which to my mind is among the finest desserts somebody ever came up with.  nothing like raw egg yolks, sugar, heavy cream and some special flavoring.  everything a growing artery block needs.  ever since its first appearance in a 1691 cookbook in france, this dessert with it's carmelized sugar shell has been pleasing palates around the globe.

well...i make the best creme brulee.  truly, you should try it sometime.  i prepared some for eric and he informed me of the same thing.  the fact that he had never had it before is really immaterial. it is his new favorite dessert!

Oh man! I miss your creme brulee!! I have truly never had a better one since yours! I am not sure that I have actually had "any" since yours, but that is not the point.

Nachos and dessert...yum!

What are the chances you might post the recipe???? Or would you have to kill me? :)

As long as that recipe is busy at work... I'm employed! I teach fitness classes. :) hmmm... maybe I should give it to my classes...

Hehe...you could make that a personal add.

"I'm Mark and I make the best creme brulee out there!"

That'd definitely bring in the ladies. ;^)

i made creme brulee recently, too! some girlfriends and i made a night of the movie Amelie and homemade creme brulee (we put fruit jam at the bottom of ours!). we stole the idea from the alamo drafthouse (a local theater chain) and it's recent girl night that we tried to go to but couldn't. they were serving free creme brulee so of course it was sold out! anywho..it made me think of you. hope all is well!
